Role Summary
This position is for providing the solutions based on IP knowledge and information to company and research institute
customers who need practical experience and expert knowledge of the patent business. The range of IP solutions
includes the patent database, search and analysis tools, IP data analysis and consulting services, and performs
proposals according to the needs and requirements of the target customers.
Role Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Consultant Team Leader (based in Korea) you will be responsible for the following:
Providing training and seminars for customers using patent databases and search tools.
Collaborate with domestic and overseas professional team to carry out IP service business, and propose tasks,
set the scope and manage tasks as Project Manager.
Presented as a patent expert representing the company in domestic IP-related events and customer seminars.
Understand trends in domestic and overseas IP market and industry trends and collaborate with global team/sales
team to provide support for potential clients and new business areas.
Identify market opportunities by collaborating with sales team and refine client’s needs & requirements by analyzing
patent & non-patent databases
Coordinate scoping, pricing, and proposing for consulting projects while monitoring a progress of work as well as
guiding a delivery done by global team
Engages in pre-sales consultative relationships to help potential customers understand how they can use and benefit
from IP Solutions/Products
Closely observe the competition landscape on international/regional competitors
Act as liaison between sales, customer support, marketing team in order to coordinate comprehensive support
activities for IP Solutions/Products towards client serving
Write and prepare presentations for presentation at high level industry conferences and exhibitions for Intellectual
Property Solutions

Qualifications:
PhD/Master/Advanced Degree in Intellectual Property/Engineering/Science related fields
Candidate should have 5-10 years of relevant IP professional experiences.
Industry back ground and technical domain knowledge of electronics/telecommunication is a must.
Broad experience of corporate patent analysis, patent drafting, prosecution, and litigation.
Excellent communication skill (both written and oral) in English & Korean language including strong
presentation/training skills is a must.
Must be able to work both independently and in teams. Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels
and be mature and accept decisions.
Ability to discuss this with chief technology officers, licensing officers, IP specialists at medium and large
corporations
Knowledge in using patent databases and extensive hand on experience in patent analysis.
Knowledge of Science products and services, particularly in patent analysis will be a plus.
