Responsibilities
- Understand local market environment and business models, remain abreast of technology developments and proactively align the technology strategies/goals with business strategies/goals.
- Drive up execution performance and quality, whilst driving down costs, outages, bugs and execution delays.
- Collaborate effectively with business partners and technology staff in delivering solutions for the company businesses in Korea
- Responsible for executing against established the company standards for software engineering and product development (i.e. platform alignment, architectural standards, open source compliance, operational supportability)
- Provide operational and supervisory management for a small motivated, results-driven and high-performing software development team.
- Ensure effective due diligence and ensure well executed post-close integration on acquisitions in Korea and be consistent with the company Merger & Acquisition guidelines.
- Foster and commit to the continued career growth of individuals throughout the technology team by providing mentoring, career guidance and training opportunities throughout the year.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
- Master degree in Computer Science, Management of Technology or MBA is a plus.
- Proven ability to organize, plan, and manage development projects with multi-site global technology teams on tight timelines.
- Basic understanding of data networks and solid technical understanding of application development and related technologies such as ASP, C#, JSP, AJAX, and XML. Mobile development in IOS and Android development a plus.
- 12+ years experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years of people management experience, including hiring, developing and managing employee performance.
- Must be solution oriented and capable of working across team boundaries and in a dynamic and global environment.
- Demonstrated leadership with defining and implementing organizational change.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience with the entire software development lifecycle.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills including both oral and written proficiency in Korean and English. Must be able to present effectively to a wide variety of audiences including end-users, development teams and partners within the business unit. The ability to present complex technical topics to a non-technical audience is a strong plus.
