GENERAL STATEMENT:
The Consulting team meets with clients, identify their needs and work closely with sales colleagues to
propose appropriate solution from information assets such as scientific literatures, intellectual property
information, pharmaceutical database, and analytic tools. The primary role of Senior Manager is to lead
Consulting team to ensure provision of the best implementation and support for our information and
selected productized solutions offerings in a profitable manner. The position is to create and implement
tools, processes and working practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of staff, and to enable
staff to deliver best in class service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads a team of pre-sales consultant and partners the account managers in winning opportunities through
market, business and technology expertise as well as product knowledge.
- Accountable for customer satisfaction within remit/territory
- Develops clear approach for meeting customers’ requirements
- Allocates resources and prioritizes tasks to deliver given business targets
- Build, develop and lead a highly effective and motivated work force with clearly defined mission and
aligned objectives
- Coaches and ensures team members have adequate skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Ensure Technical Policies are known by the team and applied consistently.
- Ensure client documentation, and appropriate manuals, processes and procedures are updated regularly.
- Ensure operational requirements, standards and best practices are factored into plans.
- Contribute to ongoing refinement and development of operational requirements and standards.
- Directs the resolution of complex or unusual problems.
- Lead selected key projects / activities and provide management bandwidth within the Organization.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Develops departmental plans and determines long term priorities for the team.
- Participates in the strategic planning process to establish sales and profitability quotas, leverages market
knowledge and customer feedback to enhance business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree with at least 8 years of consulting experience, MBA degree is preferred
- Strong people leadership skill with at least 4 years of experience in managing & motivating a team of
consultants/analysts
- Good knowledge on R&D policy and R&D performance management, or IP strategy or pharma industry
- Customer focused with business acumen and demonstrated stakeholder management skills to build
credibility and confidence within the organization
- Critical thinking with solutions mindset including the ability to analyze and synthesize data to identify
a solution to enhance performance
- Strong problem management, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to work with virtual teams to successfully deliver projects or
resolutions of escalations
- Excellence verbal, written and presentation skill
- Able to work well under pressure in a demanding environment
- Drives results with excellent time management and escalation skills
- Fluent English skill is required.
