The Consultant works as a member of the Analytics Consulting team and is responsible for collecting,
reviewing and scoping essential information required for business proposals and implementations.
This position offers challenging hypothesis-driven projects for professionals with a scientific background
and a desire to gain rich experiences in business consulting expertise.
It requires skills of clear communication with clients and global professional team and relevant
knowledge in the industry in order to develop proposals for consulting projects. This position serves R&D
sectors in South Korea to support both revenue generation and business planning functions.
Responsibilities:
The Consultant will have responsibilities to include and not limited to:
Project specifications:
* Interview potential clients on their needs to determine workable solutions to meet both client goals
and Company’s business capabilities.
* Define the scope and basic requirements of business solutions.
* Generate project proposals including scope, technical requirements, estimated deadline and costs.
* Liaise with global delivery teams to test technical feasibilities.
* Present the proposal to clients, receive feedback and fine-tune the details.
* Work closely with respective sales managers in order to establish the business case and receive
client orders to the project proposal.
Project management and delivery:
* Work with respective delivery team to manage projects and complete deliveries within timeframe.
* Manage project schedule and resources and provide status updates for internal teams and collaborate
with a diverse group of experts, executives and managers for successful project management.
* Act as a point of contact with clients during the project implementation.
* Anticipate problems and barriers during implementations and work proactively to meet deadlines and
project specifications.
* Work on any follow-up issues.
Market research.
* Monitor market trends and competitive landscape that are relevant to Company’s business development
strategy and objectives.
* Familiarize with emerging technologies to incorporate in ongoing project deliveries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science is preferred.
- Demonstrated technical capabilities in relational database management, knowledge management systems,
web applications, and/or computer programming are required. Relevant on-the-job experience is a plus.
- Visualization expertise, such as design of graphical user interfaces, data presentations, and/or network
charting is preferred.
- Familiarity in academic research, government operations, and/or information management is preferred.
Additional years of experience in the field or industry are plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in client-focused development teams and professionally interact and collaborate
with diverse groups, including end users, executives, managers, administrators and subject matter experts.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills to effectively communicate conceptual framework, technical
requirements and project proposals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to think logically, ability to concentrate, good attention
to details.
- Ability to digest complex information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level
information into details.
- Good active listening skills to interview client needs and discern underlying requirements.
- Good organization skills; ability to multi-task; good time-management skills.
- Proactive mindset for pre-sales activities is preferred.
