Industry representation/Thought Leadership
• Represent the company at events (conferences, exhibitions) to debate and discuss trends and new topics
• Write and prepare publications and white papers to strategically influence the markets on the value of
targeted solutions
• Reach out to key opinion leaders and active users of our solutions and establish regular communication
leveraging on various communication platforms
Domain and solution expertise
• Provide expert view in positioning and product development related discussion
• Serve as a technical consultant of management team when attending customer meetings especially
with C-level
• Liaise with marketing and develop creative approaches to raise market awareness of the Scholarly &
Scientific Research and Life Sciences suite of products and services
Product pre and post sales support
• Advise Sales team on how to articulate the benefits of Life Sciences and Scholarly & Scientific
Research products
• Pre sales activities include gathering and responding to technical questions, live and web-based product
demonstrations and sharing of best practices
• Post sale support include live and web-based training and workshops
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of training and sales support materials and strategy,
and provide feedback to product management and sales on clients’ use of products and competitive intelligence
Consultancy and delivery
• Collaborate with Sales team to scope and conceptualize Scholarly & Scientific Research and Life Sciences
services sales opportunities
• Provide expert opinion and/or insight and help customers understand how to best interpret project outcome,
provide consultative session in order to build up customers’ in house capabilities etc.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
- Excellent knowledge of institutional research & discovery environments, authoring and collaborating tools,
scholarly publishing and presenting, and research management and evaluation. Ability to discuss these with
provost, librarians, funding agency directors, research evaluators, and publishing directors at research policy
making agencies, funding agencies, research institutions and universities
- Capability in collecting and analyzing big amount of data and providing insights and recommendations
- Excellent intuitive skills - must be able to discern meaning from customers when comments are sometimes
obscure. Be able to understand and then communicate our benefits to customers through strategic understanding
of technology and customer needs
- Well developed facilitation, presentation and communication skills to engage large and small audiences alike
in a creative, clear and concise manner
- Ability to work with remote cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Overseas travel required (10% - 20% of the time)
