The Channel Sales Manager will be managing channels for Online and Print channels to drive revenue growth
via acquisition of new customers, as well as up selling and retaining existing customers for both local and
international solutions. This position is covering mainly Academic market in Korea, working closely with Marketing
and Product Training staffs. Success for this position will require excellent communication and relationship
management skills for both internal and external and executing key market agenda and marketing/training events.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship and Communication
- Uses appropriate interpersonal styles to establish effective relationships with customers and internal partners;
interacts with others in a way that promotes openness and trust and gives them confidence in one’s intentions.
Sales Quota Attainment
- Consistently attain sales quota and annual sales growth for new sales. Identify, prioritize and close new account
opportunities. Secure multi-year contracts where possible
Grow existing customer base
– Through close understanding of customer needs, develop existing business and secure annual renewals.
Sales Pipeline Management
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline to ensure an adequate amount of leads and deals are in the pipeline
identified for both short- and long-term success. Build and deliver an accurate account pipeline. Accurately
forecast sales opportunities and keep internal systems up-to-date with account information, activities and contacts
Product Knowledge and Demonstrations
- Maintain proficiencies in Thomson Reuters online products to deliver effective and convincing demonstrations.
Work with colleagues worldwide to identify potential new products for sales in relevant markets.
Local Marketing and Account Development
- Develop and implement territory and account plans in accordance with business objectives. Develop sales
strategies and key relationships with accounts. Work with marketing to develop target strategies.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
• Successful online sales track record
• An understanding of the legal marketplace is an advantage.
• Ability and flexibility to travel
• Fluent in English and Korean
